About Me

I was born in Southern California at a time when Disneyland still used ticket books and the “E” ticket gave you the best rides in the park. I watched the “California Angels” play in the “Big A” and the Los Angeles Rams during spring training workouts at Long Beach State.

After being honorably discharged from military service, I began my law enforcement career with the City of Santa Ana. I worked patrol, traffic, on horseback, by helicopter, street narcotics, gang suppression, gang homicide, cold case homicide, and the career criminal unit investigating Federal crimes.

Over three decades in law enforcement, I was honored to be voted Officer of the Year twice. Later, I was honored as Detective of the Year, and earned accolades from community organizations and elected officials. In 2003, I was chosen as one of the “25 Hottest People in Orange County” by OC Metro Magazine for my work in cold case homicides. I also served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Political Action Committee of the Santa Ana Police Officers Association, and was appointed by the Murrieta City Council as a Public Safety/Traffic Commissioner.

After 30 years of public service, I joined an international construction management firm as Director of Public Affairs. I am entrusted with many duties and assignments, and enjoy forging strong relationships and building coalitions to accomplish difficult tasks.

I have four adult children and have been blessed with four young grandchildren.
