Retired Police Detective Adds District Attorney and Former
Anaheim Police Chief to Growing List of Prominent Endorsements
(West Anaheim) – Today, Anaheim Budget Commissioner and retired police detective Steven Chavez Lodge announced his campaign has received formal endorsements from District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and former Anaheim Police Chief John Welter. 
“The City of Anaheim, like all cities in our County, faces unique public safety challenges that requires experienced leadership,” said Rackauckas.  “Steve’s experience in both the public and private sector are an ideal fit for West Anaheim and for residents that want safe and clean neighborhoods.”
“I am honored to support and endorse Steve Chavez Lodge for Anaheim City Council,” said Welter.  “I know Steve will make sound decisions after careful thought”.
District Attorney Rackauckas and former Anaheim Police Chief John Welter are joined by Orange County Sheriff Sandra Hutchens and Crime Survivors founder Patricia Wenskunas in supporting Lodge ‘s campaign for Anaheim City Council. 
Steve Chavez Lodge is a Southern California Native, and longtime Orange County resident.  After serving in the US Army as a paratrooper, Steve spent 28 years with the Santa Ana Police Department – the last seven years of his career as a decorated Senior Gang Homicide Detective.  Steve is a father of four and grandfather of four and makes his home in West Anaheim.
